There is more marble in the Ilisium than the Acropolis.  This is a big giant hotel but very well run and appointed – a city within the city.  Their new members only club, the House ofNYNN, is the talk of the town.  This is truly Greek 60’s elegance. Think Yannis Moralis. The rooms are generous.  Food can be very expensive.  Best pool scene in Athens. Just one subway stop from Syntagma Square.  Insist on a room with an Acropolis view.  

Insider Tip: Catch the sunset on the roof for one of the most dramatic views of the city.
