To Kafenio

If I had a restaurant "type" this would be it as you immediately feel that this place carries history and character. The historic photographs and beautifull drawings on the walls, the classic wall sconces, the waiters and waitresses in their crisp white shirts, and the fantastic monogramed plates. This place is classic Kolonaki. The restaurant sits on a steep incline with a few tables outside placed on steps that are always full regardless if it is raining or snowing.

The charcoal grilled beets, the xorta (dandelion greens) and liver were all excellent and had wonderful flavor. The meat and fish dishes are excellent.

To Kafenio has been serving the neighborhood of Kolonaki since 1987 and it's similar to a favorite Parisian bistro just with better weather and nicer people.
