I have a bit of an obsession with the Greek artist Maria Spentza (Μαρία Σπέντζα). Pictured here is a brilliant glazed tile mural in the lobby of a residential apartment building in Kypseli just off Fokionos Negri.

Maria Spentza was born in 1925, graduated for Athens’ School of Fine Arts, had a full vibrant career until she left us in 2011 - thankfully her art lives on.
