Who doesn't like a good pie? In Greece, and especially Athens, you will find pies everywhere. However, we call them pites (pita singular), spanakopites (spinach pie), tyropites (cheese pies), kotopites (chicken pies), milopites (apple pies) etc. You get the picture. Pies in Greece are a famous part of our culinary heritage and have become a hi-art form. There are places I will go for a pita and places I avoid. Artison is the mother ship of pies - savory and sweet. In business since 1910 and packed all day. Try the cheese pie kourou style and then call and thank me. And eat it write outside the shop while it's still hot.
